- Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the hospitalist practice.
- Ensure efficient and effective communication between physicians, staff, and patients.
- Implement and maintain processes and procedures to improve practice workflow and efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze practice metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Manage and maintain physician schedules, including coordinating coverage for absences and vacations.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within the healthcare system to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain and update electronic medical records and other relevant databases.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new staff members.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Act as a liaison between the hospitalist team and other departments, including billing and insurance.
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in meetings and provide updates on practice operations and initiatives.
- Identify and address any operational issues or challenges that may arise.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and optimize practice operations and patient care.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospitalist Or Primary Care Environment.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Billing And Coding Processes, Including Insurance Verification And Claims Management.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Staff.
Proficient In Microsoft Office And Other Computer Software Programs, With The Ability To Learn And Navigate Electronic Medical Records Systems.
