- Provide personalized care and support to patients undergoing physical therapy treatment.
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Observe and document patient progress and report any changes to the physical therapist.
- Educate patients on proper techniques and exercises to aid in their recovery.
- Monitor and assist patients during therapy sessions to ensure safety and proper form.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards related to patient care.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and advancements in the field of physical therapy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and respect towards patients and their families.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Piedmont Healthcare.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the physical therapist or supervisor.
A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Physical Therapy Assisting, Preferably From An Accredited Program.
Current Certification As A Physical Therapy Assistant (Pta) From The American Physical Therapy Association (Apta).
At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Pta In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In An Acute Care Or Rehabilitation Facility.
Strong Knowledge Of Physical Therapy Principles And Techniques, With The Ability To Assist In The Development And Implementation Of Treatment Plans.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
