- Collect blood samples from patients using various techniques such as venipuncture, fingerstick, and heelstick.
- Properly label and process blood samples according to established procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and sanitary standards.
- Verify patient information and accurately input data into the laboratory information system.
- Prepare and package samples for transport to the laboratory.
- Follow established protocols for sample handling, storage, and disposal.
- Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare team members to ensure a positive and comfortable experience.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with sample collection or processing.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in phlebotomy techniques.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all procedures performed.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate patient care.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Program.
Certification By A Nationally Recognized Phlebotomy Organization (E.g. Ascp).
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Or Hospital Setting.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
