  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the home infusion therapy process, including medication preparation, administration, and patient education.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications, including proper labeling and documentation.
  4. Monitor patients' response to therapy and make necessary adjustments to medication dosages as needed.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation, including medication profiles and progress notes.
  6. Educate patients and caregivers on proper medication administration, potential side effects, and other important information related to home infusion therapy.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with all applicable regulations and best practices.
  8. Participate in quality assurance activities, including medication error reporting and implementation of corrective actions.
  9. Stay current on industry developments and changes in medication therapies and infusion techniques.
  10. Provide excellent customer service and ensure patient satisfaction by addressing any concerns or questions.
  11. Collaborate with insurance companies and other third-party payers to obtain authorization for home infusion therapy services.
  12. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards, including HIPAA regulations, in the handling of patient information.
  13. Train and supervise pharmacy technicians and other support staff as needed.
  14. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Piedmont Healthcare to patients, caregivers, and other healthcare providers.

Job Qualifications
  • Active And Unrestricted Pharmacist License In The State Of Georgia.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Home Infusion Therapy Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Current Pharmacy Laws And Regulations, As Well As Knowledge Of Sterile Compounding And Aseptic Technique.

  • Strong Communication And Patient Counseling Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Multidisciplinary Team.
