As a Patient Transporter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of patients throughout our facilities.   1. Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from various locations within the healthcare facility, including but not limited to patient rooms, treatment areas, and diagnostic testing areas.
  2. Follow proper safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors while transporting patients.
  3. Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, family members, and healthcare staff to provide a positive patient experience.
  4. Monitor and report any changes in patient condition or behavior during transport to appropriate healthcare staff.
  5. Maintain accurate records of patient transport, including time and location of transport, in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  6. Assist with patient transfers to and from beds and stretchers, ensuring proper body mechanics and safety techniques are used.
  7. Respond promptly to requests for patient transport, prioritizing urgent and time-sensitive requests.
  8. Clean and disinfect transport equipment and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  9. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient flow and timely delivery of services.
  11. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Piedmont Healthcare and always represent the organization in a positive and professional manner.
  12. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor or manager.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and provide feedback to enhance the patient transport process.
  15. Embody a strong commitment to patient care and consistently provide exceptional service to patients and their families.

Job Qualifications
