- Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from various locations within the facility, including exam rooms, diagnostic imaging areas, and other treatment areas.
- Assist patients in and out of wheelchairs and stretchers, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear instructions and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Maintain a clean and organized work space, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored and ready for use.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to prioritize and coordinate patient transport requests.
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene and personal protective equipment usage.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Patient Transporter I Position At Piedmont Healthcare Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge To Perform The Job Duties Effectively.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Most Healthcare Facilities Require Their Patient Transporters To Have A Valid Bls Certification, Which Includes Training In Cpr And Basic First Aid.
