
Patient Sitter- Nights

As a Patient Sitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients while they are under our care. - Monitor patients: Observe and monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being while they are in our care.
- Ensure safety: Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients by following safety protocols and responding quickly to any potential hazards.
- Communicate with healthcare team: Communicate any changes in patients' condition to the healthcare team and assist with any necessary interventions.
- Provide comfort and support: Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during their time at the facility.
- Document observations: Accurately record and document patients' vital signs, behavior, and any other relevant information in their medical charts.
- Assist with daily activities: Help patients with tasks such as eating, bathing, and using the restroom as needed.
- Follow protocols: Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control, confidentiality, and patient rights.
- Handle emergencies: Remain calm and take appropriate action in emergency situations, such as assisting with CPR or calling for help.
- Collaborate with other team members: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and doctors, to provide the best possible care for patients.
- Attend trainings: Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on patient care techniques and safety procedures.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates For The Patient Sitter- Nights Position At Piedmont Healthcare Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Facility, Such As A Hospital, Nursing Home, Or Rehabilitation Center. This Experience Will Provide A Strong Foundation For Understanding And Meeting The Needs Of Patients.
Excellent Communication Skills: Patient Sitters Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Staff. This Includes Actively Listening, Providing Clear Instructions, And Relaying Important Information To The Appropriate Individuals.
Ability To Remain Calm Under Pressure: Working As A Patient Sitter During The Night Shift Can Be Unpredictable And May Involve Dealing With Challenging Situations. Candidates Should Be Able To Remain Calm And Composed In High-Stress Situations And Make Sound Judgments To Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of Patients.
