- Monitor and supervise patients during the night shift to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and requests, providing assistance and comfort as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare team members to maintain a high level of patient satisfaction.
- Observe and report any changes in patient behavior or condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Document observations and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, including changing linens, restocking supplies, and ensuring patient rooms are tidy.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and their families.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines to protect patient information.
- Maintain a positive and supportive attitude towards patients, their families, and colleagues.
- Follow emergency protocols and provide assistance as needed in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for patients.
- Comply with all safety and health regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Continuously seek ways to improve patient care and provide feedback to the healthcare team.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members.
Ability To Work Night Shifts And Maintain A Flexible Schedule, Including Weekends And Holidays.
Prior Experience In Patient Care Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably As A Patient Sitter Or Nursing Assistant.
Basic Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Equipment, And Procedures.
Physical Stamina And Mental Alertness To Handle Long Hours Of Sitting And Responding To Emergencies.
