Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Nutrition Representative. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive proper nutrition during their stay with us.   1. Greet patients and their families with a warm and welcoming attitude upon arrival at the hospital or healthcare facility.
  2. Conduct nutrition assessments for patients and develop personalized meal plans based on their dietary needs and restrictions.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and dietitians, to ensure patients receive proper nutrition based on their medical conditions.
  4. Monitor and document patients' food and fluid intake, making note of any changes or concerns.
  5. Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper nutrition and how it can aid in their recovery or treatment.
  6. Coordinate with Food Services department to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of patient meal orders.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient meal preferences, allergies, and dietary restrictions.
  8. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or requests in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on nutrition-related topics and best practices.
  10. Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines when handling and distributing food to patients.
  11. Assist with inventory management and restocking of patient nutrition supplies.
  12. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve patient nutrition services to ensure high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
  14. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field.

  • Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (Cnsc) Or Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential Preferred.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Nutrition-Related Role.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Educate And Counsel Patients On Nutrition.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Nutrition Assessment Methods, And Therapeutic Diets.
