Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Patient Care Technician Training Program: A Patient Care Technician Must Have Completed A Certified Training Program That Covers Topics Such As Basic Patient Care, Medical Terminology, And Infection Control.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Neuro Medical Surgical Unit, Is Often Required For This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Equipment And Procedures: A Patient Care Technician Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Equipment And Procedures Related To Neuro Medical Surgical Care, Such As Eegs, Mri Scans, And Post-Operative Care.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Interaction With Patients, Their Families, And Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential.

  • Current Cpr/Bls Certification: A Patient Care Technician Must Have Current Cpr/Bls Certification, As They May Be Responsible For Responding To Medical Emergencies In The Neuro Medical Surgical Unit.
