  1. Perform blood draws and specimen collection for patients in our outpatient clinics.
  2. Follow established protocols and safety procedures to ensure accurate and efficient collection of samples.
  3. Provide excellent patient care by creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for all patients.
  4. Maintain organization and cleanliness of phlebotomy equipment and work area.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to ensure proper specimen identification and documentation.
  6. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  7. Keep detailed and accurate records of all collected specimens.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of test results.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service and address any patient concerns or questions related to phlebotomy procedures.
  10. Attend training and educational sessions to stay up-to-date on phlebotomy techniques and advancements in the field.
  11. Assist with inventory management and ordering of necessary supplies.
  12. Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
  13. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and infection control measures.
  14. Continuously strive to uphold the mission and values of Piedmont Healthcare in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Phlebotomy: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Valid Certification In Phlebotomy From An Accredited Program Or Institution.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Essential For An Outpatient Phlebotomist To Accurately Label And Process Samples.

  • Experience In Outpatient Settings: Previous Work Experience In An Outpatient Clinic Or Healthcare Setting Is Preferred For This Role, As It Requires A High Level Of Efficiency And Multi-Tasking.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Phlebotomist, It Is Crucial To Pay Close Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate Sample Collection, Labeling, And Processing.
