OB Surgery Technician, Labor and Delivery

- Provide direct patient care during labor and delivery surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies.
- Assist physicians and nurses during surgical procedures.
- Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team.
- Ensure a sterile and safe environment in the operating room.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs during surgery.
- Assist with the positioning and draping of patients for surgery.
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative tasks, such as preparing patients for surgery and monitoring their recovery.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of procedures, supplies used, and patient information.
- Educate patients and their families about the surgical process and post-operative care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Participate in training and educational opportunities to maintain and enhance skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
- Foster a positive and professional working environment for all team members.
Certification As A Surgical Technician: Candidates Should Possess A Valid Certification As A Surgical Technician From An Accredited Program.
Knowledge Of Obstetrics And Gynecology Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Labor And Delivery Procedures, Including Cesarean Sections, Is Necessary For This Role.
Experience In A Hospital Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Hospital Setting, Especially In Labor And Delivery, Is Preferred.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: This Position Requires The Ability To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For Effective Communication With The Surgical Team And Patients.
