Welcome to Piedmont Healthcare! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated OB Surgery Technician to join our team in the Labor and Delivery department. As an OB Surgery Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients during one of the most important moments in their lives - the birth of their child. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about women's health and have a strong background in surgical procedures.   1. Provide direct patient care during labor and delivery surgical procedures.
  2. Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies.
  3. Assist physicians and nurses during surgical procedures.
  4. Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team.
  5. Ensure a sterile and safe environment in the operating room.
  6. Monitor and record patient vital signs during surgery.
  7. Assist with the positioning and draping of patients for surgery.
  8. Perform pre-operative and post-operative tasks, such as preparing patients for surgery and monitoring their recovery.
  9. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  10. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of procedures, supplies used, and patient information.
  11. Educate patients and their families about the surgical process and post-operative care.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  13. Participate in training and educational opportunities to maintain and enhance skills.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
  15. Foster a positive and professional working environment for all team members.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification As A Surgical Technician: Candidates Should Possess A Valid Certification As A Surgical Technician From An Accredited Program.

  • Knowledge Of Obstetrics And Gynecology Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Labor And Delivery Procedures, Including Cesarean Sections, Is Necessary For This Role.

  • Experience In A Hospital Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Hospital Setting, Especially In Labor And Delivery, Is Preferred.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: This Position Requires The Ability To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For Effective Communication With The Surgical Team And Patients.
