We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a healthcare leader in the community, we strive to provide the best possible care for our patients. We are looking for a driven and experienced individual to join our Neurosurgery department and assist in providing top-quality care to our patients. If you are passionate about neurosurgery and have the required qualifications, we would love to have you join our team.

  1. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to patients in the Neurosurgery department.
  2. Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  4. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  5. Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  6. Perform procedures and assist with surgeries as directed by the physician.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and document all patient interactions.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws, in the delivery of patient care.
  9. Participate in departmental and hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
  10. Keep abreast of current developments and advancements in the field of neurosurgery and incorporate new knowledge into practice.
  11. Provide support and guidance to nursing staff and other healthcare team members.
  12. Demonstrate professionalism and compassion in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  14. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and trainings to stay updated on departmental and organizational changes.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies With A Focus On Neurosurgery.

  • Current Certification As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant With Specialization In Neurosurgery.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Neurosurgery Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Neurosurgical Procedures, Diagnostic Tests, And Treatment Options.

  • Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
