Job Description

  1. Perform specialized neurophysiological tests and procedures, including EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies, in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  2. Monitor and record patient responses during testing, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.
  3. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for neurophysiological testing, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
  5. Educate patients and their families on the purpose and process of neurophysiological testing, and provide support and reassurance during procedures.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all neurophysiological tests and procedures performed.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  8. Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in neurophysiology technology and techniques, and incorporate them into daily practice.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of neurophysiological testing.
  10. Foster a positive and professional work environment by communicating effectively with team members and promoting a patient-centered approach to care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Neurophysiology, Neuroscience, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.eeg.t) Or Equivalent.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Neurophysiology Technician, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Neurophysiology Testing Equipment And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
