Job Description

In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting with the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions.   1. Conduct neurophysiological tests: Perform a variety of diagnostic tests, including electroencephalograms (EEGs), electromyograms (EMGs), and nerve conduction studies (NCS), to help diagnose and monitor neurological conditions.
  2. Prepare patients for procedures: Ensure patients are properly prepared for procedures, including explaining the process and answering any questions they may have. This may include positioning patients, attaching electrodes, and calibrating equipment.
  3. Monitor patients during procedures: Monitor patients' vital signs and reactions during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
  4. Maintain equipment: Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly, and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  5. Record and analyze test results: Accurately record test results and analyze them for abnormalities or patterns that may indicate a neurological condition.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  7. Educate patients and families: Explain test results and procedures to patients and their families in a clear and empathetic manner, and provide education on how to manage their condition.
  8. Follow safety protocols: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to protect both patients and staff from potential hazards.
  9. Maintain patient confidentiality: Protect patient privacy by following all HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict confidentiality of all patient information.
  10. Stay updated on industry developments: Continuously educate yourself on new and emerging technologies and techniques in the field of neurophysiology to provide the best possible care to patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Neuroscience, Biology, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Neurophysiology Technologist (Cnt) From Abret (American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Neurophysiology Laboratory Setting.

  • Proficiency In Performing And Interpreting Electroencephalograms (Eeg), Electromyograms (Emg), And Nerve Conduction Studies (Ncs).

  • Knowledge Of Current Neurophysiology Techniques And Equipment, As Well As Ability To Troubleshoot And Calibrate Equipment.
