  1. Monitor and analyze patient cardiac rhythms using specialized equipment and software.
  2. Report any abnormal findings or changes in patient rhythm to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient cardiac rhythms and any interventions taken.
  4. Understand and follow all protocols and procedures related to cardiac monitoring.
  5. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality and timely care to patients.
  6. Stay informed about new technologies and developments in cardiac monitoring.
  7. Provide support and assistance to other healthcare professionals in the event of a cardiac emergency.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other team members to ensure a positive patient experience.
  9. Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  11. Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  14. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the healthcare team.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Educational Requirement For A Monitor Technician Job At Piedmont Healthcare Would Be A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Shows That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Understand And Communicate Effectively.

  • Certification In Basic Cardiac Life Support (Bcls): Monitor Technicians Are Responsible For Monitoring And Interpreting Patients' Cardiac Rhythms. Having A Certification In Bcls Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Respond To Emergency Situations.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Clinic, Would Be A Valuable Qualification For A Monitor Technician Job At Piedmont Healthcare. This Would Demonstrate The Candidate's Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Procedures.

  • Knowledge Of Ekg Interpretation: As A Monitor Technician, One Of The Primary Responsibilities Is To Interpret Electrocardiograms (Ekgs). Having A Solid Understanding Of Ekg Interpretation Would Be A Crucial Qualification For This Role.
