- Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients with mental health challenges.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of various mental health disorders and their symptoms.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.
- Monitor and observe patient behavior, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as grooming, bathing, and eating, for patients who are unable to do so independently.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Mental Health Tech At Piedmont Healthcare Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Basic Education And Knowledge To Perform Tasks Required For The Job.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Equivalent Certification: Candidates With A Cna Certification Or Any Other Equivalent Certification In The Healthcare Field Will Be Preferred. This Certification Shows That The Candidate Has The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Provide Patient Care.
Previous Experience In A Mental Health Setting: Candidates With Previous Experience Working In A Mental Health Facility Or Hospital Will Be Given Preference. This Experience Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Unique Challenges Of Working In A Mental Health Setting.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: A Mental Health Tech Must Have A Current Bls Certification. This Certification Shows That The Candidate Is Trained In Basic Life Support Techniques And Is Prepared To Handle Emergency Situations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Mental Health Tech Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
