Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field: A Medical Technologist In The Blood Bank Department At Piedmont Healthcare Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Similar Program From An Accredited Institution.
Certification As A Medical Technologist: Candidates Should Have A Valid Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt) From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).
Experience In Blood Bank Testing: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Blood Bank Testing, Including Proficiency In Blood Typing, Antibody Screening, Crossmatching, And Transfusion Reactions.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures: Applicants Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures, Including Automated Blood Testing Systems, Standard Operating Procedures, And Quality Control Measures.
