Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field: A Medical Technologist In The Blood Bank Department At Piedmont Healthcare Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Similar Program From An Accredited Institution.

  • Certification As A Medical Technologist: Candidates Should Have A Valid Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt) From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Experience In Blood Bank Testing: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Blood Bank Testing, Including Proficiency In Blood Typing, Antibody Screening, Crossmatching, And Transfusion Reactions.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures: Applicants Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures, Including Automated Blood Testing Systems, Standard Operating Procedures, And Quality Control Measures.

  • Attention To Detail And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Medical Technologist In The Blood Bank Department, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Ensuring Accurate And Reliable Test Results. Candidates Should Also Possess Strong Critical Thinking Skills To Troubleshoot And Resolve Any Issues That May Arise During Testing.
