  1. Conducting quality assurance checks on all radiation therapy equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
  2. Collaborating with radiation oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients.
  3. Performing treatment planning and dose calculations using advanced medical technology.
  4. Ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations related to radiation safety.
  5. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all treatment plans and procedures.
  6. Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues related to radiation therapy equipment.
  7. Continuously monitoring and evaluating treatment processes to identify areas for improvement.
  8. Staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in medical physics and radiation therapy.
  9. Educating and training other healthcare professionals on radiation safety protocols and procedures.
  10. Communicating effectively with patients and their families to provide support and answer any questions or concerns.
  11. Participating in research and development projects to advance the field of medical physics.
  12. Adhering to ethical standards and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  13. Collaborating with insurance providers and billing departments to ensure accurate documentation and billing for radiation therapy services.
  14. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
  15. Demonstrating a commitment to providing excellent patient care and upholding the mission and values of Piedmont Healthcare.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Or Doctoral Degree In Medical Physics Or A Related Field.

  • Certification By The American Board Of Radiology In Medical Physics.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Clinical Medical Physics, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Knowledge And Proficiency In Radiation Therapy Planning And Delivery, Including External Beam And Brachytherapy.

  • Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team.
