- Provide exceptional respiratory care to patients using evidence-based practices and protocols.
- Lead and mentor a team of respiratory therapists, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
- Ensure the highest quality of care by monitoring and evaluating the performance of the respiratory therapy team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in respiratory therapy practices and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Participate in the training and orientation of new respiratory therapy team members.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to respiratory therapy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve the respiratory therapy program.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Manage and maintain equipment and supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed.
- Provide support and assistance to other healthcare team members as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency situations as required.

Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy: A Lead Respiratory Therapist At Piedmont Healthcare Should Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy From An Accredited Institution.
Valid Respiratory Therapist Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Respiratory Therapist License From The State Of Georgia Or Be Eligible For Licensure.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist, With Some Experience In A Leadership Role.
Leadership Skills: The Lead Respiratory Therapist Should Have Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team, Delegate Tasks, And Make Critical Decisions.
Specialized Certifications: Candidates With Specialized Certifications Such As Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Or Certified Respiratory Therapist (Crt) Will Be Given Preference. Additional Certifications In Areas Such As Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Or Critical Care Are Also Desirable.
