  1. Lead a team of patient transporters: Supervise and provide guidance to a team of patient transporters, ensuring they are performing their duties efficiently and effectively.
  2. Ensure safe and timely transportation of patients: Coordinate and oversee the transportation of patients to and from various areas within the facility, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  3. Maintain high level of service: Uphold the standards of Piedmont Healthcare by delivering exceptional service to patients and their families, as well as other healthcare professionals.
  4. Train and onboard new team members: Assist in training and onboarding new patient transporters, ensuring they are knowledgeable and equipped to perform their duties.
  5. Monitor and maintain equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain patient transportation equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate department.
  6. Communicate effectively: Communicate with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate transportation needs and address any concerns.
  7. Handle scheduling and logistics: Create and manage schedules for patient transporters, ensuring adequate coverage at all times. Coordinate logistics for transportation of patients to and from appointments and procedures.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols: Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the safety of patients, transporters, and other healthcare professionals.
  9. Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with other departments, such as nursing and facilities, to ensure efficient and seamless patient transportation throughout the facility.
  10. Lead by example: Demonstrate a compassionate and professional attitude towards patients, their families, and team members, serving as a role model for the transport team.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Patient Transportation Or A Related Field Within A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Proven Ability To Manage And Train A Team Of Patient Transporters.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Basic Understanding Of Hospital Operations And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Staff.
