1. Perform laboratory procedures and tests accurately and efficiently, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
2. Receive, label, and process patient specimens in a timely manner, ensuring proper identification and handling.
3. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, including performing basic troubleshooting and restocking as needed.
4. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
5. Adhere to quality control and quality assurance standards to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
6. Communicate with healthcare providers and laboratory staff to provide updates on specimen status and results.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
8. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all laboratory procedures and tests performed.
9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
10. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to stay current with industry developments and advancements.
