  3. Serve as a navigator for patients throughout their breast health journey.
  4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized care and education to high-risk individuals.
  5. Assess and evaluate patients' medical history and risk factors to determine appropriate course of action.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure understanding and compliance with treatment plans.
  7. Stay current on the latest research and developments in breast cancer risk and treatment to provide the most up-to-date information to patients.
  8. Build and maintain relationships with local organizations and resources to provide additional support and resources to patients.
  9. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the High-Risk Breast Program.
  11. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and confidentiality.
  12. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed.
  13. Attend and participate in meetings, trainings, and conferences related to high-risk breast health.
  14. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Clinical Background: A High-Risk Breast Program Navigator Should Possess A Strong Clinical Background In Breast Health, Including Knowledge Of Breast Anatomy, Breast Cancer Risk Factors, And Screening Guidelines.

  • Certification In Breast Health: A Candidate For This Role Should Have A Certification In Breast Health, Such As The Breast Care Certification From The National Consortium Of Breast Centers (Ncbc) Or The Breast Patient Navigator Certification From The National Consortium Of Breast Centers (Ncbc).

  • Experience In Patient Navigation: The High-Risk Breast Program Navigator Should Have Experience In Patient Navigation, Including Coordinating Care, Providing Education, And Advocating For Patients Within The Healthcare System.

  • Knowledge Of High-Risk Breast Conditions: This Role Requires Knowledge Of High-Risk Breast Conditions, Such As Brca Mutations, Family History Of Breast Cancer, And Other Risk Factors. The Candidate Should Also Be Familiar With Risk Assessment Tools And Genetic Testing.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The High-Risk Breast Program Navigator Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Community Organizations. They Should Have Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Relationships And Provide Emotional Support To Patients And Their Families.
