Strong Clinical Background: A High-Risk Breast Program Navigator Should Possess A Strong Clinical Background In Breast Health, Including Knowledge Of Breast Anatomy, Breast Cancer Risk Factors, And Screening Guidelines.
Certification In Breast Health: A Candidate For This Role Should Have A Certification In Breast Health, Such As The Breast Care Certification From The National Consortium Of Breast Centers (Ncbc) Or The Breast Patient Navigator Certification From The National Consortium Of Breast Centers (Ncbc).
Experience In Patient Navigation: The High-Risk Breast Program Navigator Should Have Experience In Patient Navigation, Including Coordinating Care, Providing Education, And Advocating For Patients Within The Healthcare System.
Knowledge Of High-Risk Breast Conditions: This Role Requires Knowledge Of High-Risk Breast Conditions, Such As Brca Mutations, Family History Of Breast Cancer, And Other Risk Factors. The Candidate Should Also Be Familiar With Risk Assessment Tools And Genetic Testing.
