Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team on a PRN (as needed) basis. In this role, you will work with patients to develop individualized exercise plans and provide guidance and education on proper exercise techniques. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of our patients and help them achieve their fitness and wellness goals. If you possess a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field and have experience working with patients in a clinical setting, we encourage you to apply for this position.   1. Develop individualized exercise plans for patients based on their specific needs and goals.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health and fitness levels to determine appropriate exercise recommendations.
  3. Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and safety precautions.
  4. Monitor and track patients' progress and make adjustments to their exercise plans as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and progress.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, research, and best practices in exercise physiology.
  8. Provide support and guidance to patients as they work towards achieving their fitness and wellness goals.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the field of exercise physiology.
  11. Assist with developing and implementing wellness programs for patients and the community.
  12. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients to exercise in.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve upon exercise programs and techniques to optimize patient outcomes.
  14. Attend training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle and being a positive role model for patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Or A Related Field.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Current Certification As An Exercise Physiologist From A Nationally Recognized Organization Such As The American College Of Sports Medicine (Acsm) Or The National Strength And Conditioning Association (Nsca).

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Exercise Physiologist, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Human Anatomy, Physiology, And Exercise Prescription.
