  1. Conduct initial assessments of patients' cardiovascular health, including medical history, risk factors, and physical fitness level.
  2. Develop personalized exercise plans for patients based on their individual needs and goals.
  3. Lead individual and group exercise sessions, monitoring patients' progress and adjusting plans as needed.
  4. Educate patients on the importance of exercise in improving cardiovascular health and preventing future health issues.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and exercise logs.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current research and trends in exercise physiology to continuously improve patient care.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols while working with patients.
  9. Provide emotional support and motivation to patients as they work towards their health goals.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment.
  11. Attend regular team meetings and participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  12. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Piedmont Healthcare and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  13. Foster a welcoming and compassionate environment for patients, promoting a positive patient experience.
  14. Assist in the development and implementation of new exercise programs and initiatives for the cardiac department.
  15. Act as a resource for other healthcare professionals, providing guidance and expertise on exercise physiology and cardiovascular health.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification As A Clinical Exercise Physiologist (Cep) Through The American College Of Sports Medicine (Acsm)

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Exercise Physiology Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working With Cardiac Patients In A Clinical Or Hospital Setting

  • Knowledge Of Current Research And Best Practices In Exercise Prescription For Cardiac Patients

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team.
