
Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac

- Develop personalized exercise plans for patients with cardiac conditions based on their individual needs and capabilities.
- Conduct initial assessments and regular follow-ups to monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their exercise plans.
- Provide education and support to patients to help them understand and manage their cardiac conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patients' exercise plans, progress, and any changes in their condition.
- Stay current with the latest research and developments in exercise physiology and cardiac care to continuously improve patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Maintain a safe and clean exercise environment for patients, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and blood pressure during exercise sessions to ensure their safety.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with patients to encourage and motivate them in their journey towards improved health and well-being.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and assist patients with insurance claims related to their exercise plans.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
- Conduct research and participate in community outreach and education programs to promote cardiac health and raise awareness about the benefits of exercise for cardiac patients.
- Serve as a role model for healthy living and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Cardiac Exercise Physiologist In A Clinical Setting.
Current Certification From The American College Of Sports Medicine (Acsm) As A Certified Exercise Physiologist (Ep-C) Or Clinical Exercise Physiologist (Cep).
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathophysiology.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team And Educate Patients On Exercise And Cardiac Health.
