- Monitor and analyze patient heart rhythms using EKG equipment.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of EKG readings.
- Identify and report any abnormal or concerning heart rhythms to medical staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide prompt and effective patient care.
- Maintain and troubleshoot EKG equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Document and record all EKG readings and patient information accurately.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on EKG monitoring techniques and equipment.
- Provide support and assistance to other healthcare team members as needed.
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to ensure timely and accurate monitoring of patients.
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of illnesses.

Completion Of An Accredited Ekg Monitor Technician Training Program.
Current Certification As A Certified Cardiographic Technician (Cct) Or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (Crat).
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Cardiac Monitoring Role.
Proficiency In Reading And Interpreting Ekg Rhythms, As Well As Knowledge Of Cardiac Arrhythmias And Their Clinical Significance.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize And Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment.
