- Conduct accurate and thorough EKG and EEG procedures on patients, following established protocols and safety standards.
- Interpret and analyze test results to identify potential abnormalities and assist in diagnosing and treating patients.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to gather information and provide updates on test results.
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide immediate assistance in case of any adverse reactions during testing.
- Document and maintain accurate records of all EKG and EEG procedures, including patient information, test results, and any relevant observations.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in EKG/EEG technology, procedures, and regulations to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Completion Of An Accredited Ekg/Eeg Technician Training Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Formal Training Program In Ekg/Eeg Technology From An Accredited Institution. This Program Should Cover Topics Such As Anatomy And Physiology, Medical Terminology, And The Proper Use Of Ekg/Eeg Equipment.
Certification As A Registered Ekg/Eeg Technician (Cet Or R.eeg.t): Candidates Should Hold A Valid Certification As A Cet Or R.eeg.t From A Recognized Certifying Agency Such As The National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Or The American Society Of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (Aset).
Proficiency In Ekg/Eeg Equipment And Procedures: Candidates Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Ekg/Eeg Equipment And Procedures, Including Electrode Placement, Lead Placement, And Signal Interpretation. They Should Also Be Able To Troubleshoot And Maintain Equipment As Needed.
Knowledge Of Cardiac And Neurological Conditions: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Common Cardiac And Neurological Conditions That May Require Ekg/Eeg Testing. They Should Also Be Able To Recognize Abnormal Ekg/Eeg Patterns And Report Them To The Supervising Physician.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Ekg/Eeg Technicians At Piedmont Healthcare Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
