
Director of Critical Care

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Critical Care to join our team and lead our critical care services. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our critical care units, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care during their most vulnerable moments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing, as well as strong leadership and interpersonal skills. - Oversee and manage all critical care units within the healthcare facility.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality, compassionate care for critical care patients.
- Provide leadership and direction to critical care staff, including nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of critical care staff, providing coaching and feedback as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare leaders to ensure seamless coordination and communication between critical care units and other departments.
- Manage the critical care budget, including staffing, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in critical care, and implement them as appropriate.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment for critical care staff, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
- Serve as a liaison between critical care staff and patients’ families, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making for the healthcare facility.
- Represent the critical care department in meetings and presentations to other departments and outside organizations.
- Maintain accurate and timely records and reports related to critical care services.
- Act as a role model for professional behavior and ethics, consistently upholding the mission and values of Piedmont Healthcare.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Critical Care Unit.
A Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Georgia.
Master's Degree In Nursing Or Healthcare Administration.
Proven Track Record Of Implementing Quality Improvement Initiatives And Achieving Positive Patient Outcomes.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams And Build Relationships With Staff And Physicians.
