Job Description

As a Compression Fitter at Piedmont Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in helping patients find relief and improve their quality of life through the use of compression garments.   1. Measure patients accurately and precisely to determine appropriate compression garment size and fit.
  2. Educate patients on the benefits and proper use of compression garments.
  3. Assess patient needs and make recommendations for specific compression garments based on individual conditions.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized fitting room area.
  5. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper care and treatment for patients.
  6. Keep accurate records of patient measurements and orders.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide excellent customer service.
  8. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and techniques in compression fitting.
  9. Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
  11. Assist with inventory management and restocking of compression garments.
  12. Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations and process claims.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  15. Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients, understanding the impact of their condition on their daily lives.
  16. Prioritize and manage time effectively to meet patient and clinic needs.
  17. Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  18. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
  19. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Piedmont Healthcare.
  20. Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Ged: A Compression Fitter At Piedmont Healthcare Should Have A Minimum Educational Qualification Of A High School Diploma Or Ged.

  • Certification In Compression Fitting: Candidates Should Have A Certification In Compression Fitting From A Recognized Institution.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Equipment: Applicants Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Equipment Used In Compression Fitting, Including Machines, Tools, And Supplies.

  • Experience In Compression Fitting: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Compression Fitting, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Compression Fitter Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
