  1. Assist the providers in delivering high-quality pulmonary and sleep medicine services to patients.
  2. Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and collecting specimens under the direction of the providers.
  3. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures and treatments.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment for patient visits.
  7. Follow all infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  8. Schedule appointments and follow-up visits for patients as needed.
  9. Assist with patient education and provide resources for self-care and disease management.
  10. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  11. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and laws related to healthcare and patient privacy.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development to provide the best care possible.
  13. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs are met and their questions and concerns are addressed.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, representing Piedmont Healthcare's values and mission.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork and open communication with colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Certification From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Pulmonary Or Sleep Medicine Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Record (Emr) Systems And Proficiency In Computer Skills.

  • Demonstrated Competency In Performing Clinical Tasks Such As Taking Vital Signs, Administering Medications, And Assisting With Procedures.
