  1. Clean and Sterilize Medical Equipment: The Central Sterile Technician will be responsible for cleaning and sterilizing all medical equipment and instruments according to established guidelines and protocols.
  2. Distribute Equipment to Departments: This role will involve efficiently distributing sterilized equipment to various departments within the hospital, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available for patient care.
  3. Maintain a Sterile Environment: The Technician will be responsible for maintaining a sterile and safe healthcare environment by following proper cleaning and sterilization procedures and adhering to infection control protocols.

This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training And Has A Thorough Understanding Of Sterile Processing Techniques And Procedures.

  • Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques: A Central Sterile Technician At Piedmont Healthcare Should Have Knowledge Of Different Sterilization Techniques Such As Steam, Ethylene Oxide, And Hydrogen Peroxide. They Should Also Be Familiar With Sterilization Equipment And Be Able To Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise.

  • Attention To Detail: A Central Sterile Technician Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That All Instruments And Equipment Are Properly Sterilized And Ready For Use. They Should Be Able To Identify Any Defects Or Damages To Instruments And Communicate This To The Appropriate Personnel.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The Healthcare Industry Is Fast-Paced, And A Central Sterile Technician At Piedmont Healthcare Must Be Able To Work Efficiently And Effectively Under Pressure.
