In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our medical equipment and supplies.   1. Sterilize and maintain all medical equipment and supplies according to established protocols and guidelines.
  2. Prepare and package equipment for sterilization using appropriate techniques and materials.
  3. Perform routine and specialized cleaning of equipment and instruments to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  4. Inspect and test equipment for defects or malfunctions, and report any issues to the appropriate staff.
  5. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
  7. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of sterilized equipment.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with equipment and supplies as they arise.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in sterilization techniques and procedures.
  11. Participate in training and education programs to maintain and enhance technical skills.
  12. Follow all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  14. Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Central Sterile Processing Technician Training Program Or Equivalent Experience.

  • Certification As A Central Sterile Processing Technician (Crcst) From A Recognized Organization (E.g. Iahcsmm Or Cbspd).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Central Sterile Processing Technician, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Sterilization Equipment, Including Steam Sterilizers, Ultrasonic Cleaners, And Sterilization Wraps.

  • Knowledge Of Infection Control Practices And Regulations Related To Sterile Processing, Including Proper Handling, Storage, And Disposal Of Sterile Instruments And Supplies.
