1. Perform cardiopulmonary bypass procedures and other cardiac surgeries under the direction of a physician.
2. Monitor and adjust the patient's physiological parameters during surgery, including blood flow, blood pressure, and oxygen levels.
3. Administer and adjust medications and anesthetic agents as needed.
4. Operate and maintain perfusion equipment, including heart-lung machines and other associated devices.
5. Maintain detailed patient records and accurately document all procedures and interventions.
6. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient operations.
7. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
8. Monitor and respond to changes in the patient's condition during surgery.
9. Assist with the set-up and preparation of the operating room for cardiac surgeries.
10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on new techniques and equipment.
