Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Cancer Navigator. In this role, you will provide support and guidance to patients and their families as they navigate through their cancer journey.   1. Serve as an expert resource for patients and their families as they navigate through the cancer treatment process.
  2. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate and understanding environment.
  3. Utilize strong communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  4. Develop individualized care plans for each patient, taking into consideration their unique needs and treatment plans.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  6. Educate patients and families on treatment options, potential side effects, and resources available to them.
  7. Assist patients in understanding and navigating insurance coverage and financial resources.
  8. Monitor patient progress and provide ongoing support and education throughout their cancer journey.
  9. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and progress.
  10. Stay updated on advancements and changes in cancer treatment and resources to provide the most current and relevant information to patients.
  11. Adhere to all healthcare regulations and protocols to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
  12. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives.
  13. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  14. Proactively identify and address any barriers or challenges patients may face in their cancer journey.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve upon the cancer navigation program to best meet the needs of patients and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Georgia.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited University.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Oncology, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Certification In Oncology Nursing (Ocn) Through The Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (Oncc).

  • Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Provide Emotional Support And Education To Patients And Their Families Facing A Cancer Diagnosis.
