- Assist the anesthesiologist in administering safe and effective anesthesia services to patients.
- Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, including cleaning, sterilizing, and stocking supplies.
- Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels during procedures.
- Set up and maintain IV lines and administer medications as directed.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the anesthesia process.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and promptly report any malfunctions.
- Document and maintain accurate records of patient information and anesthesia procedures.
- Assist in the transport of patients to and from the operating room.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Stay updated on new anesthesia techniques and equipment through ongoing education and training.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.
- Handle all confidential patient information with sensitivity and discretion.
- Communicate effectively with the anesthesia team and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the anesthesiologist or supervisor.
Completion Of An Accredited Anesthesia Technician Program Or Equivalent Education And Training.
Certification As A Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.a.t.) Through The American Society Of Anesthesia Technologists And Technicians (Asatt).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Anesthesia Technician In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Anesthesia Equipment, Procedures, And Safety Protocols.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced And High-Pressure Environment.
