Job Description

Welcome to Petco, the leading pet specialty retailer in the United States! We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store General Manager to join our team and lead our store to success. As the Store General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, creating a positive and engaging work culture, and driving sales and profitability.   1. Oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, inventory, staffing, and customer service.
  2. Create and maintain a positive and engaging work culture for all employees.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and increase profitability.
  4. Monitor and analyze store performance data to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments.
  5. Train, mentor, and motivate employees to provide exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals.
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  7. Manage inventory levels and merchandise displays to ensure a visually appealing and well-stocked store.
  8. Collaborate with the corporate team to develop and execute marketing and promotional initiatives.
  9. Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to employees.
  11. Monitor and control expenses to meet budgetary goals.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new products to make informed business decisions.
  13. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  14. Maintain a strong relationship with the local community and participate in community events to promote the store.
  15. Represent Petco in a positive and professional manner at all times.
