Job Description

Welcome to Petco! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store General Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Store General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales to meet and exceed company goals. We are looking for a passionate leader who is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for our customers and their furry friends.   1. Oversee all aspects of the store's daily operations, including inventory management, customer service, and employee performance.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and meet or exceed company goals.
  3. Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to every customer and their pets.
  4. Maintain a high level of knowledge about the store's products and services to assist customers and make recommendations.
  5. Hire, train, and manage a team of employees, including setting performance goals and providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
  6. Create and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment for all employees.
  7. Monitor and analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends and make informed business decisions.
  8. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and community partners.
  10. Plan and execute store events and promotions to drive customer engagement and sales.
  11. Monitor and maintain the store's budget and financial performance.
  12. Continuously seek out opportunities for improvement and implement new strategies and processes as needed.
  13. Serve as a role model for the company's values and mission, promoting a culture of excellence and dedication to animal welfare.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The Store General Manager Must Possess Excellent Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Employees.

  • Retail Management Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Retail Management Role, Preferably In The Pet Industry.
