Job Description

Are you a passionate animal lover with a knack for organization and customer service? Petco is looking for a Stocker/Cashier to join our team! As a Stocker/Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring our store is fully stocked with all the necessary items to keep our furry friends happy and healthy. In addition, you will provide exceptional customer service at our checkout counters. If you have a love for animals, a keen eye for detail, and enjoy interacting with customers, we want to hear from you!

  1. Stocking and organizing inventory: The Stocker/Cashier will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, and stocking inventory items in an organized and efficient manner. This includes ensuring that all products are properly labeled and displayed for easy access.
  2. Maintaining store appearance: The Stocker/Cashier will play a key role in maintaining the overall appearance of the store. This includes keeping shelves and displays clean and tidy, as well as ensuring that aisles are clear and easily navigable for customers.
  3. Ensuring inventory accuracy: It will be the responsibility of the Stocker/Cashier to regularly check inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management. They will also be responsible for conducting inventory counts and restocking items as needed.
  4. Providing exceptional customer service: As a customer-facing role, the Stocker/Cashier will be expected to provide excellent service to all customers. This may include answering questions, assisting with product selection, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  5. Operating cash registers: The Stocker/Cashier will be responsible for operating cash registers accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit, and debit transactions. They will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
  6. Assisting with customer inquiries and concerns: The Stocker/Cashier will be the first point of contact for customers at the checkout counter. They will be expected to handle any customer inquiries or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  7. Collaborating with team members: The Stocker/Cashier will work closely with other team members to ensure the store is running smoothly. This may include assisting with tasks outside of their primary responsibilities as needed.
  8. Following company policies and procedures: It is the responsibility of the Stocker/Cashier to adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and cash handling guidelines.

Job Qualifications
