
Stocker / Cashier

- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the store by restocking shelves, rotating products, and keeping aisles clear of debris or hazards.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any low stock items to management in a timely manner.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing product recommendations and answering any questions they may have.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, credit, and other forms of payment.
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, customer service, and safety protocols.
- Continuously educate yourself on new products and services offered at Petco in order to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure that customer needs are met and the store is running smoothly.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers and their pets, making them feel valued and appreciated.
- Take responsibility for the care and well-being of all animals in the store, following all safety and animal handling protocols.
- Assist in the setup and execution of in-store events and promotions, engaging with customers and promoting products.
- Uphold the Petco brand and values by providing exceptional customer service and promoting a love and understanding of animals.
- Communicate any customer feedback or concerns to management in a timely and professional manner.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot any issues or obstacles that may arise and work towards finding solutions.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, in order to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
- Continuously strive to improve and enhance the customer experience through exceptional service and a positive attitude.
Previous Retail Experience: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Similar Role As A Stocker Or Cashier.
Knowledge Of Pet Products: A Basic Understanding Of Pet Products And Their Uses Is Important For This Role, As Petco Specializes In Pet Supplies.
Strong Organizational Skills: Stockers And Cashiers Are Responsible For Maintaining Inventory Levels And Ensuring Products Are Properly Displayed. Therefore, Strong Organizational Skills Are Crucial For This Job.
Customer Service Skills: Petco Is A Customer-Centric Company, So Candidates Should Have Excellent Customer Service Skills And Be Able To Interact With Pet Owners In A Friendly And Helpful Manner.
