We are currently seeking a passionate and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Stocker/Cashier.As a Stocker/Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our store is always fully stocked, organized, and ready to serve our customers. You will also be responsible for providing friendly and efficient checkout services, making sure that every customer leaves our store satisfied and with a smile.To excel in this role, you must have a strong love for pets and a desire to provide exceptional customer service. You should also be detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent communication skills. Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus. 1. Stocking and organizing merchandise: Ensure that all products are properly stocked, displayed, and organized on the sales floor according to company standards. This includes restocking shelves, arranging displays, and maintaining a neat and tidy appearance of the store.
2. Receiving and processing shipments: Receive incoming shipments, verify accuracy of products, and ensure timely and accurate processing of merchandise into inventory. This includes labeling, pricing, and placing products in designated areas.
3. Customer service: Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner. Assist customers with finding products, answering questions, and providing recommendations. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
4. Cashier duties: Ring up customer purchases accurately and efficiently using a cash register or other designated point-of-sale system. Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policies. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
5. Product knowledge: Develop a strong knowledge of all products sold in the store and their features and benefits. Use this knowledge to assist customers with their purchases and make recommendations to meet their specific needs.
6. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the store is running smoothly and efficiently. Assist with other tasks as needed, including stocking, cleaning, and organizing.
7. Inventory management: Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management about any product shortages or overstock. Help with inventory counts and participate in regular stock checks.
8. Adherence to company policies: Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols. Help maintain a safe and clean working environment for both customers and employees.
9. Cash handling: Follow proper cash handling procedures, including counting and balancing cash drawers and preparing daily cash reports.
10. Customer satisfaction: Ensure that every customer leaves the store satisfied with their experience. Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
11. Training and development: Participate in training sessions and continuously develop new skills to improve job performance and contribute to the success of the store
