
Stocker / Cashier

- Stocking and organizing shelves: Responsible for restocking shelves with merchandise, ensuring shelves are neat and organized, and monitoring inventory levels to ensure products are always available for customers.
- Cash handling: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit payments, and provide customers with receipts and change as needed.
- Customer service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, address their inquiries and concerns, and provide them with product information and recommendations.
- Maintaining store appearance: Keep the store clean and presentable at all times by regularly cleaning and organizing designated areas, including the checkout counter and stocking areas.
- Product knowledge: Stay up-to-date on all products and promotions to effectively assist customers and make product recommendations based on their needs.
- Follow procedures and policies: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure a safe and positive work environment for both employees and customers.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and assist in tasks as needed to support the overall success of the store.
- Time management: Efficiently manage time to ensure tasks are completed within designated time frames and prioritize tasks as needed.
- Cash register maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and functionality of cash registers, including ensuring adequate supply of cash and receipt paper.
- Pet care: Exhibit a love and passion for animals by ensuring their safety and well-being in the store, and providing assistance to customers with pet-related inquiries.
Strong Customer Service Skills: A Stocker/Cashier At Petco Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Provide Exceptional Customer Service To Pet Owners.
Knowledge Of Pet Products: Familiarity With Different Types Of Pet Products And Brands Is Essential For A Stocker/Cashier At Petco. This Includes Understanding The Nutritional Needs Of Different Animals And Being Able To Recommend Appropriate Products To Customers.
Organizational Skills: As A Stocker/Cashier, It Is Important To Have Strong Organizational Skills To Maintain The Store's Inventory And Ensure Products Are Displayed Properly On Shelves.
Cash Handling Experience: A Stocker/Cashier At Petco Will Be Responsible For Handling Cash Transactions, So Prior Experience With Cash Handling And Basic Math Skills Are Necessary.
Physical Stamina: This Job May Require Lifting And Carrying Heavy Bags Of Pet Food Or Other Products, As Well As Standing For Long Periods Of Time. Therefore, Physical Stamina And The Ability To Perform Physical Tasks Are Important Qualifications For This Role.
