- Manage and maintain accurate financial records for Petco, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor and analyze financial trends to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to management.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Communicate and work closely with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Stay updated on industry changes and regulations related to accounting and financial reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial records.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Retail Industry
Strong Understanding Of Gaap And Financial Reporting
Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Accounting Software (E.g. Quickbooks)
