Staff Accountant

1. Manage and maintain accurate financial records for Petco, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
2. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

4. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
5. Monitor and analyze financial trends to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to management.

7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
8. Communicate and work closely with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support.
9. Stay updated on industry changes and regulations related to accounting and financial reporting.
10. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
11. Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.
12. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial records.
13. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
