Are you a passionate animal lover with a knack for sales and customer service? Petco is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. As a Sales Associate, you will have the opportunity to interact with pet parents and their furry companions, while helping them find the perfect products and services for their pets. We are looking for someone who is friendly, outgoing, and has a strong knowledge of pet care. If you have a love for animals and a talent for sales, we want to hear from you!

  1. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting pet parents in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Utilize strong knowledge of pet care to recommend products and services that meet the specific needs of each pet.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
  4. Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and credit card processing.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring all products are properly stocked and displayed.
  6. Actively participate in ongoing product knowledge training to stay up-to-date on the latest pet care trends and products.
  7. Meet and exceed sales goals and targets set by management.
  8. Continuously seek out new sales opportunities within the store, such as cross-selling or upselling products and services.
  9. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and cohesive work environment.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  12. Demonstrate a passion for animals and promote responsible pet ownership to customers.
  13. Continuously strive to improve sales techniques and customer service skills.
  14. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and special offers to effectively communicate them to customers.
  15. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
