  1. Provide exceptional customer service to pet parents and their furry companions.
  2. Promote and sell a wide range of products and services offered by Petco.
  3. Interact with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  4. Educate customers on products and services offered and assist them in choosing the right options for their pets.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring all products are properly stocked and displayed.
  6. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  7. Continuously learn about new products and services offered by Petco in order to effectively promote and sell them.
  8. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for customers.
  9. Assist in the care and maintenance of store animals, including feeding, cleaning, and handling.
  10. Uphold Petco's standards of animal care and welfare.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in order to provide knowledgeable and informed recommendations to customers.
  12. Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  13. Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the job and the company.
  14. Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by store management.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Pet Care: A Successful Sales Associate At Petco Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Pet Care, Including Different Types Of Pets, Their Specific Needs, And Common Pet Products.

  • Customer Service Skills: As The Primary Point Of Contact For Customers, A Sales Associate Should Have Excellent Customer Service Skills, Including The Ability To Communicate Effectively, Resolve Issues, And Provide A Positive Shopping Experience.
