Regional Medical Director

Manage and provide leadership to Area Medical Directors, Hospital Medical Leaders and hospital veterinarians, as well as any relief doctors who provide medical services. Ensure all Vetco Total Care hospitals uphold all Petco standards, mission and values, and meet or exceed the medical quality standards defined by the Petco Veterinary Hospital SOPs. Ensure hospitals are maintaining a positive work environment that fosters efficiency, profitability, and partner retention. Act as the primary medical point of contact for all regional hospitals within the Vetco Total Care full-service hospitals and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures and with local, state, and federal laws. In partnership with the Petco Talent Acquisition team, assist in the recruitment, interview, hiring, and onboarding process. In partnership with the Director of Hospital Operations, manage the performance of the hospitals while meeting budget expectations.
