Job Description

  1. Oversee all aspects of merchandising operations within the store, including visual displays, product placement, and inventory management.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve customer experience, and meet merchandising goals.
  3. Train and supervise a team of merchandising associates, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain store standards and provide excellent customer service.
  4. Conduct regular audits to ensure merchandise is appropriately stocked, priced, and displayed according to company standards.
  5. Collaborate with store management to plan and execute promotional events and sales.
  6. Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to make recommendations for product assortment and pricing.
  7. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and sales data, and use this information to make informed decisions about product ordering and placement.
  8. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
  9. Foster a positive and motivating work environment, providing ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
  10. Serve as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic resource for customers, answering questions and providing recommendations about pet care products.
  11. Assist with the hiring and training of new merchandising team members.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve upon merchandising processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
