- Provide exceptional care to all animals under the care of Petco.
- Perform medical examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
- Conduct surgical procedures as needed.
- Educate pet parents on proper animal care and offer advice on preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
- Collaborate with other veterinarians and staff to ensure efficient and effective care for all animals.
- Stay up-to-date on current veterinary practices and advancements in the field.
- Communicate effectively with pet parents to answer questions, explain diagnoses and treatment plans, and provide updates on their pet's progress.
- Adhere to all safety and health protocols to ensure the well-being of both animals and staff.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community to promote Petco's mission and values.
- Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to further enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to veterinary medicine.
- Manage and prioritize a busy caseload while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Provide guidance and support to veterinary technicians and other staff members.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment for all team members.
Doctor Of Veterinary Medicine (Dvm) Degree From An Accredited Veterinary School
Valid State Veterinary License And Ability To Obtain A Dea License
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience As A Veterinarian In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Emergency Setting
Strong Surgical And Medical Skills, Including Proficiency In Diagnosing And Treating A Wide Range Of Medical Conditions
Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Work Well With A Team To Provide Quality Veterinary Care To Patients.
