1. Perform pet grooming services such as bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to Petco's standards and customer requests.
2. Maintain a clean and safe work environment for both pets and employees.
3. Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service.
4. Educate pet owners on proper grooming techniques and recommend products and services to enhance their pet's appearance and well-being.
5. Handle and restrain pets in a gentle and compassionate manner, taking into consideration their individual needs and behavior.
6. Keep accurate records of grooming services, appointments, and any special requests or instructions from customers.
7. Work collaboratively with other team members, including groomers, trainers, and sales associates, to ensure a positive and seamless experience for customers and their pets.
8. Stay up-to-date on the latest grooming techniques, industry trends, and products to provide the best possible services to customers.
9. Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling and disposal of grooming tools and products.
10. Assist with other tasks and duties as needed, such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and restocking grooming supplies.
11. Show compassion and empathy towards pets and their owners, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing Petco's mission and values.
13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including grooming standards and code of conduct.
14. Proactively communicate any issues or concerns to management and work towards finding solutions.
15. Continuously strive to improve grooming skills and knowledge, seeking feedback and training from colleagues and managers.
