- Provide exceptional customer service to all pet parents, including greeting them and assisting with any questions or concerns they may have.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all aquatic animals, including regular tank maintenance and water quality checks.
- Monitor the health and well-being of all aquatic animals, and promptly address any issues or concerns.
- Educate and advise pet parents on proper care and maintenance of aquatic animals, including tank setup, feeding, and disease prevention.
- Perform regular inventory checks and restock necessary supplies to ensure the availability of products for customers.
- Continuously expand knowledge and stay updated on latest industry trends and advancements in aquatic care.
- Handle and process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the overall success and productivity of the store.
- Participate in store events and promotions to promote and increase sales.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to maintain a positive and professional work environment.
Extensive Knowledge Of Aquatic Species: An Aquatics Specialist At Petco Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Different Types Of Aquatic Species, Their Care Requirements, And Behavior. This Includes Fish, Reptiles, Amphibians, And Invertebrates.
Experience In Aquarium Maintenance: Candidates For This Role Should Have Experience In Maintaining And Caring For Aquariums. This Includes Water Quality Testing, Filtration Systems, And Proper Cleaning Techniques.
Customer Service Skills: As An Aquatics Specialist, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. Candidates Should Have Excellent Customer Service Skills And The Ability To Advise And Educate Customers On Aquatic Products And Care.
